Frequently asked questions
Everything about duels, scores, verification and your privacy.
What is CompareHotness?
CompareHotness is a free photo rating site for adults. You add your own photos, vote on duels between two other members and see how your photos rank against people of your gender and age group.
Is it free?
Yes. Voting, uploading photos and seeing your score are free.
How is my score calculated?
Every duel updates an Elo rating, the system used in chess. After ten duels your photo gets a percentile, for example "hotter than 72% of your pool". Your raw rating is never shown to others.
Who will see my photos?
Only signed-in, adult members see photos in duels. Photos are never shown to visitors or search engines, and you can hide any photo or leave the duels at any time.
Can someone upload my photos without me knowing?
Every member verifies with a live selfie that copies a random pose, and new photos are matched to that selfie. Photos that look like someone else can be reported and are reviewed by moderators.
Who am I compared with?
Only members of your own gender and age group (18-24, 25-34, 35-44 or 45+). If you share an approximate location, people near you come first.
Is my location shared?
Only if you turn distance on. We store an area of about 11 km, never your exact position, and others only see a rough distance such as "~30 km away".
How do I delete my account?
In Settings, choose Delete account and confirm with your password. Your photos, scores and selfie are deleted. You can also download all your data first.
